Response: There is something truly weird about a man in a fur-trimmed red Santa suit and boots walking around in the very height of summer looking a bit like he's about to faint from the heat : )
Response: Ha ha...oh the sun's always shining in this country : )
Response: Well if you ever manage to make it back here I'd be happy to be your tour guide. I work as the admin person for a very multicultural bunch of people and I love organising stuff for us all to do. Our next event is a ghost tour of Brisbane city. Should be a blast!
Response: Thanks for being kind, I really struggled to find some nice B&W cards....
Response: I'm so pleased, you would just have laughed at the ridiculous amount of time it took me to choose it, honestly after about 45 minutes I'd narrowed them down to 5 cards and then I just muttered to myself like some crazy lady. I've been collecting stamps for you for the next time our swapping paths cross : )
Response: I'm so pleased they arrived safe and sound. I think that pretty old card is just crying out to be made into something beautiful and I felt you were the right woman for the task : )
Response: I'm so pleased that you liked it, I always try to match postcards to what I think people will like : )
Response: Why thank you! I actually had flu when I wrote my cards and tried extra hard to concentrate (still managed a few spelling mistakes though). I find the more effort I put in to choosing my quotes and cards, the more I enjoy the experience. I suppose there's truth in that old maxim: The more you give, the more you get
Response: Thank You! When I was young, my mother was a wildlife carer for orphaned and injured animals. Our house was often full of baby wallabies and roos and bushtail possums, so it was nice to find this card to remind me of that. They really are sweet animals too, smart like dogs. xoxo Kim
Response: Hi Lorraine, I'm so pleased you were kind enough to say that you liked it. This has always been one of my favourite paintings, I actually bought a print and had it framed when I first moved out of home. Then when we bought our house, I knew there was a big tree in the back yard, but it was only when we settled and were given the keys that I saw the masses of purple flowers and realised we had our own Jacaranda tree : ) I also have a cup of tea under it most afternoons when I finish work. Cheers Kim
