Comment: I love the ATC! I don't see a crooked thing on it either! :) I don't smell the Frankincense oil and even if I did, I am an oily person, too! Young Living! I am still experimenting with the oils that I have bought and my youngest daughter has experimented with Young Living Oil and also Doterra oil. I have heard that Young Living is the best! Thank you for the ATC and I hope you feel better. We will have to keep in touch and compare oils. :)
Response: I am so glad you like the ATC, and Frankincense oil! The brands I am using, for the Frnakincense is Healing Solutions and for Lavendar the company is Brooklyn Botany. I will have to try Young Living Oil. I just looked for the best organic oils I could find by mail. I am feeling better - thanks for asking. Will keep in touch about the oils. Thanks for the heart.

Response: One way to use color pencils is: when you want a shadow, like on a red petal, use the complementary color green first where the shadow goes, then go over it with the red. Happy you like the card and thanks for the heart.

Comment: Denise--I like both of your cards but have to agree that the one on the actual blackboard card stock looks better. This was new to me as well--I liked my results but didn't think the coloring was quite what I'd wanted it to be as the softer card stock soaked up to much of the colored pencil coloring. Thanks for the extra that I can use for another swap, Hope your Christmas was merry and that the New Year brings only good things into your life!

Comment: Denise, I love my-your atc. The cotton string you used to tie it together brought back such strong memories. When I was about 7 (1972?) I was visiting my grandmother. I became enamored of a cone of cotton string in her garage. I had seen balls of string but never a neatly wrapped cone. I guess i must have asked about it often enough that my gran gave it to me. That cone of string was what i used for learning to crochet, macrame and so many other crafty projects. To this day my heart stops when i see that kind of string. Thank you for sharing your talent with me. I really really love this one. <3
Response: Thank you for sharing your memories of the string. I was so surprised you knew what it was! My cone of string was in my grandparents' basement and has probably been there since the 1950's. I love the way it is so neatly wrapped around the cone - like you said. No one wanted it so I got to keep it. The house had been rented out for years (not the basement) and when it was time to sell it, it almost went in the trash, but I really wanted it. So glad it made it to your ATC. I am so happy it went to someone who has an appreciation and warm memories of the same string.

Comment: Thank you very much. Your envelopes are very well made! Do you use a template to cut them so evenly? Mine never fail to look handmade, but yours are perfect!
Response: Glad you like them. I use a Fiskars cutting board (has the little mini blade in it), and a scoring board. You have to place the paper in the same place on the left end for all four sides of the scoring board or the envie will come out not rectangular. It's not hard to do. I got the boards at Michaels.

Comment: Thanks for the swap. The actual ATC was the only thing that really survived the post! The plastic coating meant it didn't get wet. Unfortunately we are having very wet weather here and the rest of it got wet which made the envelope fall apart and most of the contents. I could however see what you sent and I thank you for it. Weather and postage and beyond our control but I thought it might be handy for you to know those envelopes come apart at the seams when wet. Yes the clock was there. It was great. I've never had an ATC that opened up like that and I loved the clock

Comment: Wow, you really went over the top for a card swap. :) The Christmas card is way cool (personalized, even!), I can use that card stock, and of COURSE I love the pug ATC. Your grandpug looks a lot like my little guy. Thanks so much for the envelope full of wonderfulness!
