I have been inspired by visiting a National Trust estate! (Anyone who doesn't know about the NT, its a charity that looks after old historic buildings and you can go look round them). On the wall were alot of 'miniatures' of the family that had lived there. They had mostly been painted by other family members, and it really inspired me to have a go! So for this swap--- you sign up and in the comment section below paste an image (or a link to the image) that you would like your partner to paint onto an ATC for you. It must be a PERSON. It must be a head and shoulders picture of them, like the one used for the swap image. If you do not provide a picture for your partner to work from unfortunately you will be removed from the swap. Once partners are assigned you will use your partners photo to create a miniature of the person depicted in the image. It must be painted (watercolour, acrylic etc) and it must be a faithful (ie NOT abstract). This is about 'having a go'. It is not about judgement. Your miniature doesn't have to be perfect and look like a photo. I would however ask that they are as absolutely faithful to the image of the person you are painting as much as you can make them. I hope I've made this clear enough, but if there are any questions please ask! Have fun, play nice! x (If you do a search on Google for 'miniature portrait' you'll get lots of images as an example). |
