Description:

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. Here, the air begins to get cooler, and there's a spooky feeling being out after dark as we go door to door trick-or-treating. ;-) I love all the orange and black decorations and the whimsy of the holiday. My children like it best, of course, because of the candy!

You don't have to celebrate Halloween to participate in this swap - all sweets are welcome! If you don't live in an area that has a "trick or treating culture", you could still send mini or snack-sized candy, chocolates, or autumn-themed treats.

We will:

  • Have 1 partner.

  • Send mini or individual-sized packs of at least 3 different kinds of candies. The value should be a $2 minimum.

  • Also include one seasonal item to decorate or use for Halloween, such as cupcake toppers or wrappers, napkins, trick-or-treat bags, banners, etc. This may be store-bought or handmade. There are MANY ideas online for handmade Halloween items. An approximate value is $2 or 30-minutes of crafting time.

  • Send your partner a nice note in a Halloween or autumn-themed card. The card can be store bought or handmade.

  • Let's follow the spirit of a group swap and make our best effort to delight our partners. Happy Halloween! :-)

The usual group guidelines also apply:

  • Package your items appropriately. Glass items and fragile foods should be wrapped and boxed to prevent breakage. It's a good idea to use a plastic baggie for anything that can leak, melt, or tear open during shipping.

  • Please send items in their original, sealed packaging for health and customs reasons. Be sure to check expiration dates and only send in-date food items that will not expire before reaching your partner.

  • Send and rate on time. On the rare occasion that you may need to send a bit late, please contact your partner AND the swap coordinator before the swap deadline has passed.
