There has been some interest in a "beginner friendly" zentangle swap so here it is! You are welcome to join this swap even if you have NEVER made a zentangle in the past! I just ask that you give it your best effort. If you are a seasoned tangler and join this swap, keep in mind that you might be receiving someone's VERY FIRST attempt - how exciting! For this first swap I want to keep things fairly simple and straight-forward. We will be using a base/tile that measures 31/2" by 3 1/2". I use watercolor paper for my zentangles. You can use white cardstock if you choose - it just needs to be white and sturdy. Start by making a string with pencil then fill in the spaces with a thin tipped black pen using AT LEAST FIVE (5) different tangle fill patterns (either official ones or ones you make up). Please don't use any color on this one. Feel free to add shading (but you don't have to). Make one (1) tile for one (1) partner. CLICK HERE for the official Zentangle website CLICK HERE for lots and lots and lots of patterns! You don't have to use any of these patterns - just wanted to point you to a great resource Go to Flickr and search for "zentangle" and you will be overwhelmed with all the inspiration you will find! If you have ANY questions on either the swap or the zentangle process please don't hesitate to ask! I would love to turn every one of you into a tangler so I have more people with whom to swap!! |
