Mystery color swap

I am pretty sure you can not assign partners that way. The computer assigns them for you and you have no control over who gets whom. But I love this idea!

yep, kgeslab is correct, it's randomly assigned by the computer. What you could do, though, is just have everyone list in the comment section the color they would like to receive, and then their partner would send them random "mystery items" of that color. A blue person might be assigned to send to a grey person, but it wouldn't matter because everyone would still receieve the color they wanted.

I made the edits in the swap to reflect that I can't choose the partner. Thanks everyone for messaging me! Glad I fixed that fast!

I have a question because I have never been in a "Theme" swap before. When you say theme are we supposed to get items of our partners colors and make a theme from them for instance let's say my partner say blue and green. I can make their items a Beachy marine theme? Am I wrong or correct depending on the color they pick or just get items in the color they choose?

Hi ChicCityGal, You are correct. Your partner only gets to choose their color and you can do their package in any theme you choose. So if someone's color is yellow(like mine) you could send anything that is yellow to me(such as-sunflower seeds,yellow dishtowels,yellow napkin rings, etc) Hope this helps.

We just signed up, and we choose VIOLET as our colour. We prefer a mix of all tones and shades of it: lavender, lilac, purple, dark violet, light violet... you get the idea.

Good idea, but themed? I can understand buying things in a color but why a theme? Maybe someone doesn't like marine theme with the blues, or oriental with the reds. Can't it just be items of the colors the partner wants but anything, such as a pink pin, pink sox, pink stationery, pink pen, etc.?

I'll choose off white... this will include any white, cream, beige, ivory, light tans, etc. **To my partner... fabric, yarn, beads, would be my first choice of items, but papers for scrapbooking, gift wrap, thread, I think you could find all sorts of things that are "kinda" white. We're gearing up for a hot summer here, so I think I'll choose some bright(not neon)summery colors--raspberry pink, lime green, turquoise, tangerine, sunshine yellow, bright blue, etc. I'm happy with a mix of these colors or just one of your choice. :-)
