I can take excess of the goodie bags mentioned in the list of sends as well as SLAMS...but nothing else please.

How is this flat mail?

ElizabethObviously 07/14/2012 #

Because type 1 is electronic and type 3 is time intensive. Sending out bags and such you have is neither of those. It is paper goods you send in an envelope.

Type 3 is Package or craft. Some goodie bags is thicker than 'letter postage rate' allowance and have to be sent in a package/parcel (more expensive postage). I would imagine 20 of them will be very thick, and cannot be sent as 'flat mail'. I think that's why coolcell was asking. And different country might have different rules about 'flat mail', but I would assume in general, flat mail would mean letter size swaps, and package is anything larger/thicker and send as a parcel, not necessarily just time intensive craft products. Well, that's my understanding anyway :)

I am new but love swapping, although I can't join this swap at the moment, I would like to in the future when my rating is up. I was wondering how many items need to be in each goody bag and what size the bags should be? Also can the bags be handmade or plastic? Sorry about the questions but new to the site! thanks in advance though for any help :)

Just chipping in my 2cents/pence/whatever small currency used in this figure of speech....

from the UK, this would be a type 3, 20 goodie bags wouldn't fit letter size/ flat, therefore it would be sending a package for me ;P

Now, I'm off to see if a) I HAVE 20 goodie bags & b) work out how much it'll cost me to send my package :D

NoWayyyy!!! (excuse the pun!!) I just weighed a bubble envie & the 16 I have (that probably only count as 14 - some are so lame, I'd be ashamed to pass them on, in case anyone thought I had put the stuff in them....lol!!) and so far it's £7/$11 postage - another few would probably hike me up another bracket to $13. I think I'm going to have to step back from this one, but if anyone fancies a private swap for a lesser amount, please PM me :)
