Description:

Okay, everyone should have their 2013 calendars. Near the back there should be a 2014 calendar! Use the January part, and put it on a No. 5 sturdy, decorated tag! They're cheap at office supply stores. You can make these yourself (measures 4 3/4" x 2 3/8" or 12 x 6 cm) but if you do, make sure you use strong paper - manilla weight paper (like filing folders).

Use collage, paint, rubber-stamping, etc, etc, etc.

It has be decorated in a manner that makes you think of January. It can even be a birthday - your partner's, or somebody famous. Other ideas could be New Year's Day (of course), or a snowy day, if it is where your partner lives. Maybe it's a colour - white in my case (it IS snowy here). Since your partner will be getting it, make it specific to her.

Put the swap name, the date and your SB name on the back. You don't have to decorate the back, somebody might want to paste these onto a larger background, so it becomes a wall calendar. Join all of these and you'll have a homemade 2014 calendar by next January :)

If we do not have a printed 2014 mini calendar available, is it alright to create one to incorporate in this swap?

That's more work, but sure! I was originally going to have people make these on 4 x 6" backgrounds, which would have been better if you wanted to make the calendar yourself (it was going to be an option in the description), but then I thought everyone will have a 2013 calendar, and they all have the next year on them. If you need to make them, and are willing to, by all means. They'll be pretty small on a tag though. How were you thinking of making them?

Banks give out calendars, if you need one. Or insurance companies, pharmacies, etc.

You can also go to Microsoft word - they have one page calendar templates that would work perfectly!

How cute!

There's a printable 2014 calendar here. it prints onto 8.5" x 11" paper, so all you would have to do is cut out each month.

Exactly! Thanks for the link!
