I've recently acquired a neat box of cat postcards and thought it might be fun to share a few of them in this "Calling all Cat Lovers" postcard swap.

In this simple swap, you will send 1 cat postcard to each of your 2 partners. These are to be sent naked - not in an envelope. Say hello and tell a bit about your cat or about someone else's cat.

Note 1: Feel free to make your cat postcards by hand.

Note 2: This swap is a Type 2 swap.

Can these be handmade postcards? I love cats, but don't have access locally to cat postcards. I noticed this is a Type 2 swap so I figured you meant store-bought as handmade ones would be Type 3...but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. :)

Handmade postcards are fine. The Type 2 and 3 designations are confusing to me because in the Type 3 ones it states they will almost always be sent in packages. But I will change it to Type 3 and edit the text to include handmade.

It can be confusing, I agree. However, the description for the 3 does mention "any time-intensive crafts" along with packages. What I've seen from other swaps involving postcards, greeting cards, etc. that unless it's specifically listed that they be "store-bought" most hosts put the category as a 3. Then often they will say "store-bought or handmade, it's your choice" or they list that the card does need to be handmade. So, I think that unless you only want store-bought cards for your swap (and that's fine if you do!) then it would be rated a 3, if handmade cards are allowed. Hope that helps to clear things up a bit! :)
