Description:

Hi everyone!

This is the second in a series of swaps that I will be hosting deticated to the art of practicing the 3 R's! (Reduce - Reuse - Recycle)

For Old is New #2, we must use ties to create something special & handmade for our partner! Any type of tie is game, but please ensure your end product does not contain stains or rips etc.

I am not trying to set a project "size" requrement, but please be fair! Remember to always send out what you would love to receive! (I will say for this swap that you need to use at least 2 ties.)

I am giving a month in between the signup & swap dates, as I would like to see everyone to base the handmade item on their partner's profile.

Please ensure that you list some goodies on your profile that are able to be handmade :)

Now the boring, but necessary stuff :)

Swap Requirements

This is an international swap

Rating of 4.8 or higher

No no-sends

Filled out profile, with at least a few items that can be created from reclaimed materials

I wont have time for this one unfortunatly but I saw something similar to this and the person made a skirt out of different ties. It looked AWESOME!!!

I did that years ago.... bought loads of ties at a boot sale and made a skirt. It had a zigzag hem and looked really colourful! Oh the memories - it was at least 30 years ago!!!

I did that too, years ago, LOL...I have some super ideas for ties, things like belts, roses, book covers, totes, pot wamers, tea kettle saver, really you can use ties to make anything you would create in regular fabric!

I recently saw a quilt and pillow cover made from old ties that was just awesome!
