This swap is for swapping quality fat quarters for the same in return. I know that there are other swaps out there with batiks and near solid looking prints but nothing for those wishing for some more excitement in their stash for a Bohemian style. I shall test the waters and if it should be popular, it may continue with either the same theme or if one should want something different. This swap will be for fantasy flowers and designs. You know the type. Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler, Valori Wells, and more. My photo shows an eclectic mix of other designers so they don't have to be specific designer. Point being that they don't need to look like near solids. They have a wonderful busy print to them. Fabrics should have a nice hand to them, nothing stiff and cheap! Also no novelties. There are other swaps by other hosts that will fill your need for them. Now for the fine print.... NO ratings less than 4.5. I have not made this swap international, however I will not exclude them as I would be more than happy to trade one on one or if anyone else wants to, that would be fine. I just don't want those that feel that they don't want to pay the international postage feel like that they have to. Fabrics should be 100 percent cotton and quilt quality. NO decorator weight or upholstry type fabrics. If you are not sure if your fabric is cotton, you can do a test. Burn an edge of the fabric and if it curls and is crisp to touch, then it is a synthetic. If it burns to a nice soft dry ash, then it is cotton. I do not feel that one should have to add extras to the package to get a heart rating. A heart rating I feel is good on the nice quality of fabric you receive. Lets face it, we spend good money on these fabrics of $7.00 and up that they are extra special in itself so use that as a rating. Point is, the quality should be there and something you yourself would like to receive. If you don't have a shop with such fabrics, explore online. I get much of my fabric from Fabric.com with decent prices and they do free shipping on orders over $35.00. You will have 3 partners with 2 different fat quarters for each of them. |
