Whoops! Sorry about taking so long to answer, and thanks to Karyn for alerting me to your questions. Sure, I don't see why you couldn't use rubber stamps! I love rubber stamps, and I'm sure lots of other people here do too. Tassy, I think fabric envelopes would be awesome.

Hi Amberscorpio: One of my partners for this swap is "nothing" - if you check her profile, you will note that there is nothing in it, and her mailing address is bogus. She also has one "1" and one "3" rating. I have only been using Swap-Bot since October and have aleady been ripped off a few times so am not really keen on going to a lot of work for someone like this. Is it possible for you to ban her anyway? Thx! Tassy

I was partnered up with the person called "nothing" for a recent ribbon swap and I never received anything. I was VERY dissapointed! Might want to rethink including them in this swap... Thanks.

Sorry to continue venting, but I sent 25 different ribbons to my partner and never received anything in return from that "nothing" chanracter. PLEASE eliminate that person if possible. It's so unfair to the rest of us...

I also have the nothing partner, so, I guess I will just send to the other one.

(Or you can go through amberscorpio, although I don't think she checks this swap site very often). Please note that, If you check my profile, you will see that I have a couple of 1 ratings. These are very recent and because mail between Canada and anywhere else, even the U.S., takes at least 4 weeks most of the time and even longer at Xmas. Hi Amberscorpio: I received the envelopes from one of my partners today and they are made from the pages of kids' illustrated story books. While they are very cute and I do like them, I am not sure they meet the swap requirement that "each one should have original hand-drawn/painted/collaged/digitally imposed/etc. artwork on it". As well, there is no space to address them so I will have to add labels myself. Would it be fair to give them a 3 rating? Thx.

OMG! Sorry guys! The holidays have completely distracted me from this site. As far as "nothing" goes, I agree that they shouldn't be here. However, I'm not sure how the ban thing works. If anyone can tell me, I'll be happy to remove them.

Tassy, I think 3 is a very fair rating, as it didn't meet the swap requirements.

Amberscorpio: I don't think it is possible to ban anyone after the signup date. I just wanted you to know that I won't be mailing anything to "nothing" and have made 6 envelopes instead for CraftyDiana. Hope your holidays were great and all the best in 2007!

I agree. If the address is a fake anyway, and no one has received anything from them, I don't think you should feel obligated to send anything.

Hey Tassy! I went in to rate my partners and lo and behold, my other partner was "nothing" and of course they sent me nothing. This is the second swap in a row that that the same person stiffed me. Why do they keep allowing this person to sign up for swaps?!?! It is so unfair!!

Hi CraftyDiana: I agree - "nothing" totally sucks. I've been caught twice by her/him/it too, and I agree he/she/it should be banned permanently. I believe Travis is aware of the problem and has been looking for solutions. He has just implemented a new system where swap coordinators can now go into the list of participants and ban people up to 3 days after the sign-up date. As long as the coordinators do their job, this will eliminate getting stuck with a bad partner who sneaks in at the last minute when it is too late for the coordinators to do anything. However, if the coordinator has not done their review and activated the assign partners function within the 3 days, then the system will automatically assign partners. Just remember that you won't get your assigned swap partners now until a couple of days after the sign-up date. But you can still get stuck with a no send. The hope is that this new system will encourage people to sign up for swaps with good coordinators who are on top of things. That is what I am starting to do now. It's not foolproof, but better than before.

You could also start up your own swaps - that way you have total control!

I also have another idea: If you see anything on this site that you are interested in swapping but are not sure about the coordinator, let me know. If it's somethign I like to do too, I am willing to occasionally swap one on one with you. I do this occasionally with a partner in the UK for fabric. Let me know!

Sorry for the delay in getting my envies out in the mail. I did contact my partners to let them know they were going to be late. But they are in the mail today. Hope you enjoy them.

I never did receive my package of envelopes from Erica Eve. That makes for a total of 8 swaps now that I have been jipped on...and that is frustrating.

Still waiting for my package from Snoooky0620...have emailed her about it...

I am also waiting to receive 2 more sets, and have emailed my parters, but have gotten no answers as of yet.
