: a person that spends a keen amount of attention and energy on knowing the ingredients of food, the proper preparation of food, and finds great enjoyment in top-notch ingredients and exemplary preparation

: a person that loves the hunt for a good morsel, the thrill of exploration, and perhaps most importantly the self-satisfaction of discovering a new love

{HOW THIS WORKS}

  • Sign up deadline is the 5th of every month, and you will have until the 15th to put your box of goodies in the mail
  • The boxes are to be filled with (at least 4) fun foodie things, or local food items!
  • The box must also include a something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what's in the box, to a fun recipe...use your imagination!

{SIMPLE GUIDELINES}
* The minimum spend is US$15 or £10 or €10 (before shipping)
* For health & customs reason, please only send commercially sealed and non-expired food items
* You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are!
* Ziplock baggies are your best friend! Don't forget that seals on jars can pop in flight, & powders have a way of escaping their sachets.
* This swap is sender's choice, but it is your responsibility to check your partner's profiles for any other information you might need like allergies or diet restrictions

{REQUIREMENTS}
* Sorry no unrated newbies this time
* Everyone must have over a 4.96 rating to participate
* No recent 1s or 3s without explanation
* Only open to swappers with a minimum of 5 completed AND rated Type 3 swaps
* Please have a well filled profile, including diet restrictions &/or allergies :)
* I will be checking all profiles before assigning partners, and reserve the right to block anyone that doesn't meet the swap requirements and/or looks suspicious
* If you get delayed sending out the swap, it is your responsibility to communicate with your partner & me, and inform us ahead of time

I would love to do this is it wasn't international! Sadly it costs too much to mail the stuffed packages I make :)

@Mizchef > I feel you man.. International shipping can add up to quite a bit.. But being from a non-US country, all my swap shipping pretty much cost quite a bit.. lol. i've learned to be clever in the way I pack the items to reduce cost ;) i'm sorry you won't be joining us for this swap, but hopefully we get to swap together soon (you seem like a lovely person) :D

@Mizchef - try shipping from UK, Australia or Canada. US shipping costs are much cheaper! :)

Thanks for the invite! If anyone gets me as a partner, please make sure anything you send good wise is commercially packaged and not homemade, not because I have an issue with it, but it won't get passed our customs if it isn't commercially packaged :) Thanks!

Exciting news ladies, this swap's looking to be epic.. So far, we've got swappers from US, UK, Canada, Norway, Israel, New Zealand & Singapore! Fingers crossed that we attract an awesome mix of swappers from even more countries..

Just a quick note.. Should anyone be assigned a partner from Australia, kindly be aware of their Quarantine Procedures and adhere to them :)

I thought it would be really interesting to see the awesome packages that everyone received for this swap, so I've also set up a flickr group for us to post pictures of the goodies we receive. If you have a flickr account, and are interested in sharing your pictures, do come over and check the group out. :D
