Hi! Have you ever thought how fun it would be to meet your fellow IL and MO swappers? I am so excited to let you know that we have a place to meet for a Get Together this fall!! It is the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO - right on Main Street - it is $50 for 10-4:30 on Saturday October 12. We can split the cost between us. So bring your crafting supplies, techniques to share, and let me know besides my cricuit what you want me to bring! I contacted Rachel (SB founder) and she is sending us some SB goodies to hand out that day - of course, I plan on taking photos to share with her, as she will feature our Get Together on her blog! This is so awesome and I am so looking forward to visiting with everyone! We can have lunch on Main Street and for those that want to shop/browse we are close enough to do this as well! We can bring drinks (soft) and snacks to share, as long as we leave the classroom as we find it, and dispose of our food trash in containers outside of the classroom. So if you are in - tell your swap partners what you would like to gain from this experience? There are several hotels here if anyone wants to stay the weekend. Also there are several craft stores in the area, all VERY close or in St. Charles. This will be a great fun time, Yeah!!!!

Lots to do in St louis too, the arch, Union Station, Science Center...so much more. Also in Hermann it is Oktoberfest. If you need kosher, come in before Fri eve- Butcher closes early on Fri, and get a hotel with with a fridge. No kosher restaurant. Butcher is on Olive Street in St Louis.

I am all for learning a new technique but I am very excited about meeting fellow swapbotters!! Vickyen and I met through swapbot in 2010 and have been friends ever since. She lives an hour drive from me and also lives in the same town as my daughter. So we get to craft together every so often. It is GREAT making friends here at swapbot and also great therapy for me to create little works of art.
