Description:

Draw This Word - Handmade PC/Card ~~A~~

Thank you @IsadoraWing for allowing me to take this swap idea and slightly change it and take it over.

The object of this postcard game is simple: I will give an obscure, strange word from the more unused parts of the English language and you will draw an illustration of what you think it means on a blank postcard or blank greeting card without looking it up. I will be going slightly off of @IsadoraWings swap and do these in alphabetical order.

For example, if the word was "Kenspeckle", what would you draw? I might doodle a freckled Ken doll or perhaps a man named Ken speckling a canvas with paint.

Or let's say the word was "Smellfungus". You could go with the immediate vision of a mushroom with stink waves coming off it or perhaps a person very happily sniffing his feet. Mm-mm!

The point is, there's no wrong way to portray the word because you'll be illustrating it without looking it up first. On the card, front and/or back explain your thought process and how you came to the drawing that you did.

As long as you receive a card with an image that was handmade and its corresponding explanation, you should rate a 5. You do not have to be a good artist; just a sense of humor and fun is required!

After sign-ups are complete, I will email out and post below the word that you will draw. You can use any kind of method to portray this word as long as the result is handmade, so collage and mixed-media are fine and dandy. Also, if I remember, on the day after send by date I will put the definition in the comment area.

If you want to learn the definition sooner, after you've made your card, you can look up what it means and have a laugh. It will be fun to see what your partner comes up with - maybe you will have had the same idea!

Participants must have been rated a 4.9 for at least 10 type 2 or 3 swaps. I am strict about this and have banned people in the past for not having enough. Or if I feel any uncomfortableness, I will ban.

Please message me or post below any questions.

If you want to, I can try to add the images to my blog. I am not a regular blogger, so it may take a few weeks to get your image there. If you want it to be added, then please email me the image of your drawing, after you have been rated. (That lets my partner keep her drawing until I get it in the mail.)

One partner, senders choice how to send, because some may want to protect the art work they do. If you prefer it send naked, you can mention it in the comments, but the sender has the final choice.
