The Names of God

Many of you have seen items in your Christian bookstore that tout the names of God, especially Christ. They are often found in books, bookmarkers, wall art and spiritual study tools. The picture above depicts one of his names: The Lion of Judah.

There are so many beautiful and descriptive titles that illuminate many facets of His Persona, His Position or His Attributes. With little effort and a short time of research, one able is to garner much information about Him and even fulfillments relating to prophecy.

I am familiar with quite a few of His Names but I came across one the other day that I’d never seen before. It piqued my interest and made me wonder about other names I’d like to discover or research. Some titles exude His Power and Presence (The Alpha and Omega) while others speak to His Great Gentleness (The Lamb of God). It is hard to say which are my favorites because I like many of them, but some have had special meaning to me because I can relate to them directly during a specific trial or circumstance in life.

For this swap, there are two parts, requiring three posts in total:

1. You will post a comment below in our Swap Area relating to something about His Personality, His Position or His Attibutes that you love;

2. Once partners are assigned, you will post TWO NAMES that are associated with Christ, from the Word of God TO YOUR PARTNERS' COMMENTS SECTIONS.

**Again, you will have a total of three –short- posts to make to complete this swap.

Regarding Part No. 2:

I am encouraging us to find two names that we’ve never seen before to share them with our partners. There are endless websites and resources that will likely lead to you to find hundreds of names, you only need to find TWO that you are drawn to and would like to share with your partners.

Everyone is welcome from every walk of life; we can learn about Him together. Rated or unrated swappers, newbies not only welcomed but embraced. ;) However, you must have a well-filled out profile; otherwise you will be banned from participating.
