Ahhh.....I'd love to have one of these! But I'm completely uninterested in making dotee dolls, just having them. Anyone interested in making me a snowman/woman dotee in exchange for something else? I could crochet a winter hat or something....

The dimensions of a Dotee Doll are generally a total of 6" long including the beaded tail, they should have a generally tubular pillow shape,longer than wide--3-4" long and 1.5-2" wide more or less--with some sort of creative "hair", a beaded tail, a face that is often simply embroidered on a felt circle that is sewed or glued onto the body, and a ribbon or string to hang them from attached to the back of their heads. Embellishments and adornments are up to you.

I just ordered a dottee kit from Dot herself!! I have another for this swap and it's a funky wintery fabric, hope you like it whoever I get! My last two dotee swaps got cancelled so this is my first too!

PhaedraPhoenix you have the picture in a Flickr or ImageBucket or some other online place and type an exclamation point ! the name of the picture within brackets [ ] then parenthesis(and the URL for the picture and close parenthesis so like this

! [picture's name] (http:// webaddressofpic dot com)

without any spaces between anything, and it should show up. this pic should be some dotees I made for another swap:

The sign up date for the new swap is 11/22, so if you haven't joined us there yet, you still have a couple of days. Partners will be assigned promptly on the 23rd as soon as I'm allowed, so you can mail at will! The mail deadline is still Dec 15, so there's plenty of time if you're not ready yet.

Mosaic flaked me - but I still had fun as it was a new experience.

I can't figure out what happened here.

The swap deadline keeps changing ... I haven't received my dottee and my partner said she sent it over a month ago ... then I've never heard back from her. I have sent her MANY messages, including the hostess.

So when is the swap deadline for this???

I'm really frustrated on this one.
