I'm teaching a Paste Paper class in mid-February and would like to show samples other than just my own. So I'm hoping all you Paste Paper makers can help me out. Let's have 2 partners and swap 5 pieces of 8.5x11 decorated paper.

I'm sorry, but what is 'paste paper'? Sounds like a lot of fun!

Cheers, Mel

Hi Mel, It's a creative way to decorate paper. A simple paste is made from flour and water and paint is added. It's then spread on paper and designs are drawn, stamped, splattered, scratched, combed, etc. It's inexpensive, fun and unique. You can easily find recipes, samples and more info online.

Cool, I haven't made any new papers in awhile so this is as good an "excuse" as any! ;-) ~ gem ~

This sounds really cool, but I'm going to practice a bit before I commit to signing up!

Mine are done and will be mailing tomorrow (2nd batch is being "pressed" right now) - I make mine with wallpaper paste, and on one batch thought I'd try leaving it lumpier to get some really nice texture ... And it worked!, untillll - I left them out on the patio overnight to dry and I don't know if it was the low temperature or moisture in the air or what but when I checked them in the AM they were as smooth & flat as if I'd made the mixture that way in the 1st place. So I was a little bummed cause one would have been very cool had it worked out, but - live & learn! Don't cure your lumpy paste papers in moderate humidity at below 50degrees, sigh. (They're still good) :D

Got my set from Connie yesterday - sooooo pretty, thank you! Loved the color selections and the patterns ('specially the snow-flakey ones!) - some dainty, some bold - now I gotta decide where to use them :D
