I've had this idea for a while and I'm super excited to be hosting this now :)
We'll have 1 partner & be sending our partner a minimum of 5 handmade journal cards, senders choice on theme and decoration. You may be familiar with journal cards, for example the famous Project Life cards for smashbooking, etc are very popular. If you haven't heard them or don't care for journal cards, but enjoy ATC's, making tags, inchies, etc these are very similar so do try it out. :)
** Requirements ** ~
You will making your partner a minimum of 5 journal cards.
Journal card size can be between 3x4 - 4x6.
Journal cards must be made out of some sort of card stock, heavy duty paper, etc similar to what is used for ATC's. Please do not use usual thin paper, e.g, what you'd used to write letters on.
Journal cards must be square in shape or have rounded ages like Project Life cards.
Decorate the journal cards however you want. You are not expected to spend a lot of time on every card, like ATC's ~ they can be simple, minimalistic and take less time to make ~ remember we are making five, and I don't expect you to spend 5 hours on this swap. This does not mean do a rushed, bad job, though!
We are making five altogether, and journal cards must have some sort of pattern, decoration, stamp, or text on them.
Journal cards can not be plain or blank. Minimum decoration allowed for each card is 1 colour and 1 detail. E.g., a pink background and 1 quote or plain background with 1 rubber stamped image and 1 piece of washi tape.
Please avoid details that are SUPER bulky for journal cards, like buttons. Journal cards such as Project Life and K&C are flat and light, they stick easily in journals and notebooks and many of us may use them in flat books, bulky 3D cards might not fit in our folders/sleeves.
You could collage, rubber stamp, use washi tape, paint, quotes, glitter, rub-ons/transfers, die-cuts, hole punch detail, emboss, doodle, draw.
Your cards can be similar, have a theme or all can be completely random.
No digital cards. They must be handmade by you.
Unlike ATC's, etc please don't date and sign the back of the card.
Add a note for your partner about the swap, how you made your cards, etc.
There are lots of examples of journal cards online or you can just go with the flow.
These should be relatively quick, easy and light to send. Have fun and make some nice cards. :)
