Description:

Please decorate two (2) envelopes front and back to represent the red , white and blue / 4th of July. You may be traditional (flags, fireworks) or creative but these three colors must be used. Stickers and / or tape may be used as part of the envelope but some type of hand done art work including but not limited to drawing, sketch, marker art, pen designs, crayon art, decoupage, paint, stampers etc must be used as well. Can't draw, try simple stencils or line designs. Do a pop art style with words play with it, be creative and have fun!

Inside please add one small flat surprise. It doesn't have to be red white and blue but should have at least one of those colors and a small note, say what you do on the 4th and don't forget to sign your name.

This should be a one stamp envelope unless you decide you want it to be more. Items are not profile based so go ahead and decorate now.

Newbies may join with a well filled out profile and please no recent ones or threes without a really really good explanation. If necessary I will angel after attempted resolution and a 1 rating.

I'm curious about how swaps like these work. Do you just have to find envelopes that are two different sizes so that your smaller ones fit inside the larger one? What size envelopes are usually used for doing something like this?

Hi xxsquigglesxx, Generally you would mail the envelope that is decorated itself so that the Post Office , neighbors and the recipient all get the thrill of the creation. You should keep this in mind and decorate flat and secure. I have gotten many versions all fine this way. Occasionally someone will tape over the whole thing in clear tape, this isn't necessary but some prefer to do this. When I set one I was worried about I used a heavier clear bag taped fat and tight over the entire creation so you still had the fun of seeing it. As for size, some swap require a specific size envelope, some don't , it's up to the coordinator. I feel you should use what is right for your artwork and legal to mail. They don't really accept teeny envelopes anyway. Hope you join in :0)
