This is the forth monthly recipe swap--if you have suggestions for future themes, please message me. We all have recipes that are perfect for entertaining, whether they are a really nice main dish or great appetizers, that allow us to gasp actually participate in our own parties. For this swap, you will have 3 partners, and you will send each partner 2 different recipes for effortless entertaining...this can be anything from appetizer to dessert to beverage...as long as it allows you to actually spend time having fun at your event. That's a total of 6 recipes you will need to send out. You have some flexibility with this one...it can be any category, and some people might interpret this multiple ways, so here is the most important rule: It should be a simple recipe (no more than 30 minutes prep time) that makes at least 8 servings. The recipes can be computer printed or hand written, but please make sure they are legible. Feel free to include a letter telling about the recipe, or even about yourself, although it's not required. Those with more than one no send or a rating below 4 will be dropped from the swap. If you have more than one no send with extenuating circumstances and would like to join please contact me before signing up for possible exceptions. Those who have received exceptions in other of my swaps need not explain again, but just drop me a line to remind me. Newbies, feel free to join in, but make sure your profile is completed. This is an international swap.

I really hate to sound stupid, but could we maybe define what 'entertaining' is for most people? I'm sorry if that sounds weird, I just think that there is a big difference between a cocktail party for adults and say...baby's first birthday party. I just worry about sending recipes that are useless for someone. Thank you for reading.

I'm usually not picky at all (anything sent with thought is wonderful) but, like a lot of people, I'm at swap-bot for good ol' fashioned snail mail!

Also, to follow up on StuffbySteph's comment, I personally would be horrified to get recipes for a kiddie party! :) Should we agree to recipes for adults at the party (although I see -- and respect -- that some people don't want recipes using alcohol)?

Frankly, I only have adult children, BUT they have children and I know folks with babies, so if you want to send me easy recipes for any age..do so. I LOVE RECIPES!!! I even have recipes for dog parties...i.e. homemade doggie bones and treats, so I'm game for about anything!

I'm so sorry guys. I can't believe that slipped my mind. It's just so hard for me to get on during the day, and I was sick ever since Sunday. I hope you guys won't hold this against me.
