I realized it has been about a year since I discovered pocket letters in a Pinterest search and fell in love!! But, as I look over the US Postal Service price increases for 2016 I am saddened that the days of sending package swaps internationally has passed for me. If we were to go back to the humble beginnings of Pocket Letters we could all exchange a pocket letter for minimum postage. I challenge you to go back to the basics. Create a pocket letter that is flat and light enough to mail as a true letter. It can be done!!!! This swap will be for the traditional pocket letter done in the 8 ½†x 11†nine pocket trading card page. Each pocket will be decorated so that when the goodies are removed it can still be displayed. Eight pockets will have goodies and one will contain a letter. Themes are designer’s choice, peeking at profiles is OPTIONAL. Sound like something you would like to try? The goodies will have to be flat and minimal, a few stickers are fine no need to add weight and bulk with the entire sheet. Try writing the letter on something non-traditional and lightweight, vintage airmail paper, coffee filters, see where I am going?!?!?! There is no need to “stuff†this pocket letter, it needs to remain flat (US Postal regulations say under ¼ thick) and lightweight (under 2 ounces). Non US mail rates will vary but we are trying to stay at your country's minimum postage for an international letter in a business (#10) size envelope. Swappers need to have a minimum 4.98 rating. Have completed and been rated for a minimum of 15 type 3 swaps. No recent 1’s or 3’s or unaddressed 1’s or 3’s. Your profile must be more than a few paragraphs long. I reserve the right to ban anyone I feel will not be a good fit and will angel should the unthinkable occur and the offender is rated a one. SO WILL YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE?
