Description:

There is just something relaxing about stamping images, coloring them and then making them into nice cards to share with friends - to brighten their day. [It reminds me of all the adult coloring books on the market these days.]

Since spring will be here in a month (in the USA, that is), I thought what better way to get us ready than to have a coloring swap with a theme of FLOWERS.

The card you make is not for your partner to use, but rather for them to read and enjoy because you will have written a nice note for them inside and on the actual card (not on a separate piece of paper).

So, here is what we will do:

  • Choose 1 (or more) flower themed rubber stamps from your collection (at least 1 stamp should be a design that you can color in). It's optional if you want to stamp a greeting inside on or inside the card.
  • Stamp and color, and adhere to a background layer (or layers).
  • Attach it to a folded card.
  • Write a note to your partner on the inside of the card. (Please write more than just "here is the swap, hope you like it." Tell about your day or what your favorite kinds of flowers are.)
  • Put the card inside an envelope.
  • Stamp a few flower images on the envelope (it's optional if you want to color these).
  • Put on proper postage.
  • Send to your partner.

P.S. This swap icon is a card I made. I got the watering can stamp for $1.00 on consignment at a local rubberstamp store. You know how I love a good bargain! LOL :)

P.S. #2 This is one of those swaps we can work on ahead of time if we want to, so we'll have it ready to write in when partners are assigned.
