Serious swappers only!!! If you cannot afford package postage, please do not join this swap!!!! Must have a well filled out profile.

I have become obsessed with junk journals!!!! I want to make one for myself, but need to practice. So, I created this swap. If you don't know what a junk journal is, search on youtube, there are many video tutorials there. If you are a more experienced creator of junk journals and want to join this swap, please do, but as this maybe your partners first attempt, please rate a 5 if you receive your journal.

The focus of this swap is"junk" as in junk mail, recyclables and scrap crafting items. Minimum size is 4" by 6", but you can go larger if you want. 4 signatures of at least 4 pages(16 pages total). Plus a decorated cover. Be creative!!!

THE SIGNATURES MUST BE ATTACHED TOGETHER IN SOME WAY. Either sew them in(the preferred way) or attach together using binder rings. DO NOT SEND LOOSE SIGNATURES.

I have a question you said signatures do they have to be sewn in or can we use the metal circle things? Thank you Sheryl-Kay

I have a 4.9966

;(

Wingy, I can't figure out if there is a way to let you join this swap, it looks like all your recent ratings are good. If this one goes well, I will do another with a slightly lower rating. After being flaked on for an expensive swap, I am paranoid, lol.

Wingy 02/18/2017 #

Ok thanks

SherylKay 02/18/2017 #

do you need to sew them?

sherig47 02/18/2017 #

I am a 4.9943 I can't join either. Oh well there are other swaps. Thanks any way

dragonangel517 02/19/2017 #

You do not have to sew them, but they do need to be attached together, either with glue to a spine, or with ring binders. DO NOT SEND LOOSE SIGNATURES. I will edit swap to say this.

dragonangel517 02/19/2017 #

I edited swap so 4.9 ratings are allowed.

What are signatures? I also watched a video on making a junk journal and she mentioned them too, but I could not find the answer.

dragonangel517 02/20/2017 #

Signatures are individual booklets you make. When you put several together, the make the journal. They are usually sewn onto the book spine. Here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNfsjQ_DMio

Jenicat 02/23/2017 #

Can you use string, ribbon, or twine to attatch the signatures? I've seen that on YouTube.

dragonangel517 02/24/2017 #

Yes Jenicat, you can

sherig47 02/27/2017 #

Thanks for changing the rating I tried the signatures I definitely need more practice not joining until they look like something I would like to receive.

Have watched the videos. Made a few signatures. But binding them together has me stumped :(

grandmaroro 03/ 8/2017 #

Just back from a scrapping retreat,. Are we just making the journal? Or are we filling/decorating the pages also?

dragonangel517 03/ 9/2017 #

Decorate the pages, but leave them for your swap partner to fill out please.

grandmaroro 03/11/2017 #

Thanks. I am loving this size.

I am extending time because I have been ill and need the extra time myself.
