So sorry the first edition of this swap was cancelled!! I had an extremely hectic vacation time. I am not going anywhere for a long while now!!

This swap is for everyone to create your very own zine. Any subject goes, you can do it all on your own or create a comp zine. The one main rule is make it a quality piece of work. (ie. no "filler" pages to bulk it up etc.)

Also, no MINI ONE PAGE zines. This zine should be 1/2 size, 1/4 size or something equivalent. (Anyone who wants to create mini zines PLEASE feel free to start your own swap here in the group!).

You can do the next issue of a zine you already create, or go out on a new endeavor and start a new title, or create a one-shot.

You will have 5 partners to send your creation to by January 2nd. This swap is international.

I have only made the mini 1 page zine before but like doing them. How many pages are a 1/2 or 1/4 size? Is there a tutorial anywhere?

There is not a set amount of pages. But i would say to at least do something substantial... like i am shooting for using 6 sheets of paper folded in half for a 1/2 sized zine.

My 1/4 sized zines have generally been 4 pages folded in fourths.

I'm stunned at how much it's costing to copy my zine for this swap. It's $2.05 for each one!! Copying, folding, stapling. I went to Kinko's bc they're open 24 hrs. Now I wish I'd just gone to Office Depot.

Just a note that i realized that this mailing season has been crazy... so i extended the mail-by date to January 31st... that way you can get through the New Year and hopefully things will calm down a bit!!

Just a note to my partners... i am a couple days behind.. I am training for a 10K and didn't realize how zapped i'd be!! I have the writing done... the layout and copying and mailing will be done this weekend! So sorry for the delay!
