A magpie group should have a magpie journal swap, right? :) I joined my first magpie journal swap over this past summer, hosted in the main forum, and it was fun! I received some fun feedback too. So, let's do the same type of thing here. :) I'm going to set this one up as International. I understand that postage can get expensive when sending International, but you can choose the type of journal you use once you see who you are paired up with - if you have an International partner, use a lighter journal, and that will keep the costs down. Keep the journal size to no smaller than 4x6, and no larger than 8.5x11 (US). You can purchase a journal to use, you can make your own journal (just be sure all the pages will stay in the cover), or you can re-purpose an old book. (I did that for one, and it was a lot of fun, actually). This will be YOUR book. You will fill up/out at least 20 pages in your chosen journal. Add recipes, labels, tags, (clean) food wrappers, pretty envelopes you have gotten in the mail, share your washi tape samples, add recipes, you own art work, a good newspaper article you read, receipts and lists you've made. You can do random, day in my life - Anything goes. Make sure it stays attached to the page, and the pages stay in the binding - but the sky is the limit. Make sense? All group requirements stand, and this is International, so everyone may join! If there's enough of a request for a USA version, please let me know and I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to give you 6 weeks from sign up to mail by - you're only required to do 20 pages, so that should be enough time. And, you can start on your journal before you even officially 'join' the swap. :) Please mail on time!! And, when you mail your journal DO NOT USE MEDIA MAIL! I recently learned that journals are not allowed to go by media mail and it has caused a HUGE problem. When you mail your journal, please tell the postal worker NO media mail. OK, questions? Comments? Concerns? Please ask! I will see and respond to PM's much faster than comments left below. :) |
