As I set up this swap, it is Oct 30th, we have watched and enjoyed the Netflix series "The Haunting of Hill House", we are listening to the audio version of "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson, and Bookish just listed "We Have Always Lived in The Castle" by Shirley Jackson as "the book everyone should read on Halloween"! So, hard to believe, I know, Shirley Jackson is on my mind! :) In reading about Ms Jackson before we started the audio with the kids, I saw that her short story, "The Lottery", is the most well known story by her. But ... I've never read it! So I thought it might be a nice little swap for us bookish people. I found a quiz online, so we'll do a swap answering those questions about the book. :) If you have already read "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson, please take time to re-read it -or listen to the audio - before this swap, so you can answer the questions. This is a type 2 (snail mail/flat) swap. You may hand write or type your answers, but please include the question and your answer so your partner can easily read your replies. :) Please answer these questions The Lottery by Shirley Jackson Quiz Questions
If you wish to add more thoughts on the story, please feel free to do so. :) But all of the above questions need to be answered as a requirement to this swap. If you have any questions, please send me a PM and ask. :) If you have ideas for other book discussions, or if you like swaps with this idea - read a book, answer questions - please let me know. Because of the winter holidays, I'm allowing a few extra weeks to give everyone time to read and answer the questions. Hopefully that helps everyone out. If you need a little more time, please let me know. |
