Description:

You will make your partner 1 standard ATC (2.5"x3.5") by following the 10 steps below. For this series of swaps you will need to have the specific TH product which is in bold text so be sure you have them or can get them before sigining up.

Step 1: Grab or make a plain white or manila colored ATC blank.

Step 2: Choose any TH Remnant rubs in which you have at least 50% of the original sheet still intact.

Step 3: Place the remnant rubs sheet over the ATC blank and rub in small and random areas around the outer edge so that you create an empty focal point towards the center.

Step 4: Immediately rip the sheet off so that only a fragment of partial/cracked image is left on the ATC blank. This is the same technique used in his 12 tags of 2013-may and as he explains, the trick is to rub in small random areas and then rip immediately to leave only a fragment of the rub-on.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the outer edge is mostly covered.

~~CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE~~
Choose 6a, 6b, or 6c or any combination as long as the steps are performed separately to avoid muddiness.

Step 6a: Apply a few different colors of TH distress stains to different areas of your craft mat and swipe your ATC through them. Use a heat tool and while drying apply water to blend. Dry completely before dipping in to stain again otherwise the colors will get muddy looking. (You can always blot up muddy looking areas before they dry!) Repeat this step as necessary.

Step 6b: Apply a few different colors of TH distress ink to different areas of your craft mat. Mist with water until beads appear. Place ATC on top of inked area and press down, do not swipe. Use a heat tool and while drying apply water to blend or lift color. Dry completely before dipping back in to the ink to avoid muddiness. Repeat this step as necessary.

Step 6c: Do step 6b except with TH distress oxide inks. I must stress importance of not swiping through the ink and always drying completely after each "dip" in the ink.

~~Make sure the card is completely dry before moving on.~~

Step 7: Choose any TH Stampers Anonymous stamp and use any brown or black Ranger or TH Archival Ink to apply the stamped image in the focal point where there isn't any rub-on fragments. Wipe the ink off of the rub-ons as needed (refer to step 13 of his May 2013 tag).

Step 8: Using Ranger or TH Archival Ink and any other stamp(s) in your stash to apply images to fill in the gaps as needed (refer to step 14 of his May 2013 tag)

Step 9: Using black soot distress ink, distress oxide ink or archival ink ink around the edges of the ATC to create a distressed looking border.

Step 10: Mount your ATC on something sturdy like 140lb watercolor paper or use a couple layers of thin cardstock. On the back of the ATC write at least the title, your username and date.

In order to create more swaps like this I need to know what TH products you own so please check out this thread.

As always I will angel if you are flaked on provided you have rated your partner a 1.
