You will make your partner 1 standard ATC (2.5"x3.5") by following the 10 steps below. For this series of swaps you will need to have the specific TH product which is in bold text so be sure you have them or can get them before sigining up. Step 1: Grab or make a brown kraft paper ATC blank. Step 2: Choose any TH Stampers Anonymous stamp in which the image will fit well on the ATC and does not have much or any background. (I've loved the blueprint stamps the most with this technique!) Step 3: Stamp the image using distress picket fence ink or paint Step 4: Choose any medium or dark colored distress ink and use it to stamp the same image again but just slightly offset to the right or left from the first. This is very easy if you have a stamp platform, after stamping your first image just give your ATC a little nudge to the left or right. If you don't have a platform this may take some practice, too much offset will defeat the technique. Step 5: Grab any type of TH sentiment/phrase/word that fits well with your image. Adhere your sentiment to any type of burlap or similar thick textile or ribbon, something that raises the sentiment off the surface of the ATC for a dimensional look. (I.E. do not use thin cotton fabric). Step 6: Distress the edges of your ATC using either a paper distresser, sanding block, sand paper, or file. Step 7: Use any color(s) of coordinating distress ink or distress oxide ink around the edges. Step 8: Attach the sentiment using anything from the TH Idea-ology fastener line. ~~~~CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE~~~~ Step 9a: Add detail to your image with something like pen/marker doodling, stickles, liquid pearls, etc. or Step 9b: Wrap a thin string-like material (no thicker than embroidery floss) around the card 2-3 times to accent the sentiment. Step 10: Mount your ATC on something sturdy like 140lb watercolor paper or use a couple layers of thin cardstock. On the back of the ATC write at least the title, your username and date. In order to create more swaps like this I need to know what TH products you own so please check out this thread. As always I will angel if you are flaked on provided you have rated your partner a 1. |
