Description:

I'm hosting THIS SWAP in my other group, but I thought we could do an EMAIL version of it here, in this group as well.

Earlier this year, I hosted THIS SWAP This is a follow up, but you can join them as you wish.
This swap isn't partner specific, so you can start on it today and have it ready to go.

In wandering Instagram today, I came across #theunreadshelfproject2019 I looked into it a bit, and it seems to be a monthly category or challenge to help you read through the books you have on your physical book shelves, or on your To Be Read list. This was the basis for my idea for this group! :)

This is an EMAIL swap, International, and you will have 3 partners to send to via EMAIL. If you send the same swap to all 3 partners, please use BCC for the email.

For this swap, make a list of the titles and authors of books you have on hand - print books on your shelf, ebooks hanging around on your Kindle, Nook, etc... and audio books in your library. (You can use the same list you use for regular monthly group swaps). You may also include a list of books you don't currently own, but wish to read, but the goal is to read books you have on hand first. :) For swap purposes, you can limit this list to 20 books.

You will then pick 3 books from the list and pledge to read those 3 books before August 1st.

Send the list, and the 3 books (Titles & author) you pledge to read to your partner.

You can start on the books at any time, you don't have to read them only during the time frame of the swap. But you should complete the books - or give it a serious try! - before Aug 1st. If you start the book and just hate it, you don't have to finish it.

If you're having a hard time choosing which books to pledge to read, maybe these categories will help you out. These are the categories developed through the #unreadshelfproject2019.

January - any unread book ▪️February - a book gifted to you ▪️March - the book that’s been on your shelf the longest ▪️April - the book you most recently acquired ▪️May - a book you bought because of the movie/TV/theater adaptation ▪️June - a book about travel or set in a country you’ve never been to ▪️July - a book from a series on your shelf ▪️August - a book voted for you to read by Bookstagram ▪️September - a book you can buddy read with someone ▪️October - a book that scares you, whether because of length, content, or actual horror level! ▪️November - a book from your favorite genre ▪️December - the shortest book on your shelf

This swap can work together with the other book reading swaps or book pledging swaps as well. If you want to get started in the #unreadshelfproject2019, you can look for it on Instagram - members post monthly pictures of their book stacks/shelves and sometimes also share details about their progress or book reviews. But that is separate from this swap. :)

Please send me a PM with any questions about the swap

You will not complete reading the books before the sign up date! This is just a pledge! In future months of updates, you can add a comment that you pledged to read the book through this swap. You do not need to include summaries or thoughts of the books you pledge to read - just the title and author from 3 books from your TBR.

Hopefully this makes sense! If not, just let me know and I'll try to re-word it. :)
