This is an easy little decorative washi tape swap. It is for 7-inch sized samples - just enough to use for decor on cards, envelopes, bookmarks, ATCs, etc. Please read through all swap instructions before starting. You will have 2 partners. Your wrapping surface should be roughly 5x7 (see note below) in size and you will wrap it with as many 7-inch sized tape samples that will fit on both sides of the card. Lay down all your samples overlapping the right/left edge of the card, and then when the front side is full of tapes, trim the right and left tape ends so they are flush with the edge and then turn the card over and do the same thing. Don't overlap your tapes, as we want to be able to pull each tape off easily. Any kind of tapes will do (even glitter tapes) with the exception of no duct tape or shiny plastic tapes that need to be cut with scissors. If you use card stock or a greeting card cut to size, please cover both sides with clear packing tape. Alternatively, you could use something plastic (transparencies, thin plastic placemats [check yard sales, DollarTree, etc.]) or even wax paper. I'm not going set a minimum number of samples because everyone's tapes could be in varying widths. All I ask is that you fill up your wrapping surface. Please don't overlap your tapes. Lastly, please add some washi decor to the front of your mailing envelopes. :) Note: If you want to make your samples longer than 7 inches, that's fine. I have some transparencies that I've cut for business size envelopes that I'm going to use for mine. |
