Description:

I like to take photos of what I have made. I don't quite have a journal made yet, but I have pictures of most of my projects. For this swap we will be sending pictures of 5-10 projects we have made as well as a small description for each picture. Then we can make a small crochet item for our partner. Make sure you go to your partners profile to see if there are any likes/dislikes/allergies as to what to make them. This is an actual swap, not an e-swap, so you will need to print the pictures IN COLOR. You can do this from any memory card at Walmart or Walgreens for relatively cheap.

You will have two partners.

Stipulations for joining:

  • Must have a rating of 4.95 or higher. No 1's within the last 6 months.

  • No newbies allowed. You must have participated in at least 10 swaps that are not: christmas cards, postcards, atcs, bookmarks or e-swaps.

  • You must have logged in the last 3 days when I assign partners.

I prefer my swaps to be in the USA and Canada.

Here is a dishcloth I made for a gift for my sister.

Would I send between five and ten 4 x 6 pictures or could there be more than one item per photo? Also, I thread crochet. Is that okay?

You can make any type of crochet item you would like.

Well, if you have taken a large picture of several items you have made, that would count. That's why I said between 5-10 photos. It can be more items, just at least 5 photos.

Example: For a personal order I made two hats. You can see the photo here I would count this as one photo, but two projects. I hope this helps clear things up.

Thanks. I think I'm clear on the photos now. Great idea for a swap. This is a good swap idea. I signed up and hopefully I'll remember to log in within three days of the swap. If I don't have much going on swap-wise, sometimes I don't log in for a week or so.

I'm going to start sending out reminder emails a couple days before my swaps to , well, remind people of my stipulations. I understand not getting on for a few days, I do that sometimes too.

I'm glad you joined BES!

I think I should make your swap requirements. I counted my non-ATC, postcard, etc. swaps and have more than ten that should qualify. When I first joined Swap-bot a year ago I did nearly all ATCs. They're lots of fun for me, but there's so many other terrific swaps I am branching out more. Crocheting has an advantage over ATCs in that it can be practical as well as creative.

I agree, I have been getting heavy into the crochet/knit and fabric swaps. I used to do the ATCs, matchboxes, dotees, etc. ButI find that the stuff that is more practical is stuff I have more fun making/collecting for my partner. Plus they tend to be more quality swaps.
