Description:

This is a variation on the Post-Secret postcard activity. In this swap, you will take a postcard, of any kind, and put your WISH FOR PEACE on the front (the artsy side). Much as the Post-Secret art includes your secret on the front of the postcard, this will include your wish for peace instead.

Your wish for peace may relate to you as an individual, to your community, family, school, work, country, planet, solar system, or time and space in whatever way you imagine it. Your Peace Wish can be a wish, thought, quote, image, Peace is a warm puppy... the arena is wide open and the postcard is your canvas!

Take a look at http://postsecret.blogspot.com for the general idea, and examples showing the secret. These PeacePost postcards should have a similar look and feel, but are a way to share your wishes for peace in the world.

I am borrowing the rules from post-secret:

Each wish for peace can be small or large, funny or serious, personal or planetary.

Create your 4-by-6-inch postcards out of any mailable material (or use a store bought postcard). If you want to share two or more wishes, use multiple postcards. Put your complete wish for peace and image on one side of the postcard.

Tips: -Be brief - the fewer words used the better. -Be legible - use big, clear and bold lettering. -Be creative - let the postcard be your canvas.

You will mail two wishes- one to each partner. They can be the same wish, or different ones.

On the side of the card with the address, you can write about your wish, include a poem or haiku, or just put your username. you don't HAVE to put anything on this side besides their address and your username. The Peace Wish goes on the "art" side of the card. You can be as elaborate as you want, or you could just write it, doesn't matter.

Newbies are welcome. Please, everyone, follow through. Let's not create havoc and ill will in a Peace Post swap. That would just be too ironic.

PS- You can scan your PeacePost, and send it to me (PM me for email address), and I will add it to the up and coming PeacePost blog!
