Back from the archives! This is the cutest, most useless lil junk journal ever:) 1 partner, 1 mini junk journal made using a coin envelope or any other mini envelope. Here is the tutorial. What is looks like: Basically you take a coin envelope, fold it in half, sew or staple in tiny pages and create a closure. The pages are lightly decorated, none of them are plain white paper). And a few treasures are stuck inside the open end of the envelope. If you don't have a coin envelope, you can make one using a template here They are typically 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 x 4 1/4, just a bit bigger than an atc envelope but any small/mini envelope will work - just make it long enough to fold over comfortably! I am using 4 inch coin envies. Staple or sew 2-4 strips of paper to create 4-8 pages inside. None of the papers can be blank - from the tutorial you can see they used book pages, magazine, envelopes and some the pages are very lightly embellished - a stamped image, a sticker, a bit of washi, etc. Use your imagination to make it cute! You don't need to embellish every page, leave some open for your partner to have fun with. Place 2-3 items in the open end of the envelope as well. Create a closure - twine, button, ribbon, velcro, but the mini junk journal should be able to be securely closed. Don't make it fat - this item can be a stand alone treasure or incorporated into a larger junk journal. Mail it open up so it's flat-ish for mailing! Senders choice so you can start making it now!
