DEADLINE EXTENDED: to Saturday, May 9 This time, you're picking the word list for the story. But wait! There's a scrambled catch, of course. It's a scrambled challenge, so hold on tight! Grab a copy of your favorite novel (or any novel you have handy) and a piece of paper. Now, jot down the first, the 43rd and the last word in each chapter. That's your working list. From there, choose any 25 words and write a short story with those words in it. Send your partners a copy of the word list OR underscore each of the words from your list. And tell them the author and title of the book from which you selected the words. Be sure to give your story a title. Mail it via post (not e-mail) to two partners. Since this one involves all that counting what what-not, there's a bit more time to come up with your short story. You don't have to wait for partners to start your list or your writing! Where did that weird number 43 come from? That's how many people are in the Write Now! group as of March 19. :) The fine print: 4.8 or higher rating and must be a member of the Write Now group. To recap: a) get a novel. b) write down every 1st, 43rd and last word in each chapter. c) write a short story using 25 of the words from that master list. d) send to your partners:
