You will fill an A5 envelope full of odds & ends for you partners...such as, yarns, cotton, ribbons, buttons, spools of thread, felt, fabrics, paper for scrapbooking, stickers, stamps or just about anything else you can think of!!! An A5 envelope is 21cm x 15cm or for the americans 9,5inch by 6inch. (A5 is half of A4).

The Skies the limit...YOU decide!! Minimum of 5 types of different items to send to your partner. The package should be of a reasonable size and filled full of craft goodies and above all must contain a high quality selection of goodies. It would be worth reading people's wishlists to try and give them some things they would really like.

No newbies and this is international. Only sign up if you have a high rating as I will check.

Happy Swapping! Any questions-get in touch!

Can somebody help? I'm having a hard time figuring out what size an A5 envelope is in inches...is it a standard letter size? A greeting card size?

LINDA50 04/15/2009 #

I just searched a bunch of sites for A5 envelope and only could find A5 paper. I could not find a size in inches for an A5 envelope? I'm in the US and I am a metric system idiot. I do have some A9 envelopes that are 5-3/4" x 8-3/4" or the box says 14.6cm x 22.2cm. I like to use this size for the random envelopes.

A5 must be pretty good size if you can fit a spool of thread into it? Watching this swap, cause it sounds like a lot of fun!

I have heard of A2 but not A5...I just checked on google and they have A2, A6, A7 and A9 but no A5 maybe it's a typo....sorry couldn't help ya.

can I confuse you? a A5 is half of A4... ok, I can give you in cms and is: 21x15 cms. hope I helped you...

I love these kind of swaps! I am still confused on the envelop size too!! :o)

A A5 envelope is 21cm x 15cm or for the americans 9,5inch by 6inch.

I'm joining also. Sounds really like a lot of fun. I can imagine what will happen when you open the envelope and all the things are falling out....must be great....:-) I will go on the watchlist since I still have the limit of 5 swaps to be on, but I will definitly join in later.

Thank you for the size translation! Now to find fun things to stuff in my A5 envelope!

cittylou 04/16/2009 #

Thanks for the clarification on the size of the envelope people. Forgot that everbody might not know this size.

To clarify what IngridRijnen said- An A5 envelope is 21cm x 15cm or for the americans 9,5inch by 6inch. (A5 is half of A4). I will put this in the details above.

Thanks, :)

@cittylou and @ robinomayberry: you are welcome. I´m not limited to my number of swaps anymore so I moved myself from watchlist to joinlist. I´m sure this swap will be great!

Is it ok to send the supplies in something bigger than an A5 envelope? I would rather send in a 9X12 envelope or small box.

Jazza 04/25/2009 #

hi i am new and have not idea how to join this swap. please help anyone!

cittylou 04/25/2009 #

Yes I suppose its ok to send in something bigger but bear in the mind the requirements are to send in an A5 so that is what you will receive. Once I assign partners it may be worth mailing your partner to tell them this so they know. The reason I chose A5 was to keep postage costs down as this is international swap.

Jazza-This swap is not open to newbies.

Avalance 04/28/2009 #

How heavy should it be? 100 gram / 250 gram ?

cittylou 04/28/2009 #

No requirement for weight so long as you fit as much as you can into the envelope.

I sent my swap yesterday on my way to school. I wasn't able to get on a computer before now to mark it sent.
