Description: | |
Everyone who has done any previous rounds should have a card in their possession now so, here is round 3. If you haven’t joined us before, please be sure to read the instructions carefully. This add n pass will work a little differently from those where the postcard is divided into sections. For this postcard, you will cut out a postcard size suitable background. (4x6 please) PLEASE USE A STURDY BASE. If you base is too thin, it could get lost in the mail easier. You will then either collage or paint or a combination of both, a background covering the whole card. On the back of the card where the message is usually written, you will have 4 spaces for each artist to add their name and a brief explanation of what they added to your card. When partners are assigned, you will mail this “postcard” to them naked. You will address it to them and add a stamp and off it goes. When you receive the postcard sent to you, you will add to the background with some light collage, some more paint, some stamping or ? keeping in mind that 2 more people will be adding to the card yet. When its time to send out again, you will add your partners address to the back (either add a label over your own address or use gesso or paint to cover it or some other creative way) add a new stamp over the old stamp and send it on. We will continue like this for 4 rounds. The last person to add to the card will add some final touches including the focal point before sending it home. There is a good chance you will receive your own postcard to add a layer to for the third round and there really is no way to prevent this. Just add to your card as if it were someone else’s. Be sure to secure all additions to the card in such a way that there is minimal chance of damage. No tape is to be used, no puffy embellishments and no stickers allowed. Keep all additions flat. Feel free to message me with any questions… and have fun! Please only sign up for this round if you are sure you will stay in until the cards are complete. |
