Description:

During World War I & II, many families started victory gardens to produce food for themselves to offer some relief to the overtaxed food supply system of the time. The gardens became not only a source of food, but they also brought families, neighbors, and friends together to share the work and raise morale.

Let's celebrate the idea of sharing in one another's Victory Gardens by swapping some garden-related goodies! Perhaps you could share a favorite small gardening tool, some gardener's soap or hand balm, seeds that would grow well in your partner's climate, or a gardening manual or diary. This will be sender's choice and recipient's delight!

We will:

  • Send to one partner.

  • Spend in the $8-$10 price range on garden-related things.

  • Include a note to your partner with some garden chat. For example, tell about your gardening experience or your plans for gardening this season.

  • Do your best to make this a fun swap for your partner. Sending the barest of technical requirements really isn't in the spirit of a group swap. Quality over quantity is usually appreciated.
