Create a postcard using Kintsugi method.

Kintsugi : which means “join with gold” — is the Japanese art of repairing broken objects, often ceramic pottery or glass. Traditionally, gold lacquer is used to piece shards together again, creating a more beautiful object through the acts of breaking and repair.

Instead here we will used scrap papers. For better effect, use same color tone of scrap papers but not a must. Gold effect must be present in this collage. You can use gold paint or gold marker for the effect. Glue scrap paper well and make sure the postcard is on a good hard backing.

Only minimal collaging is needed after the Kintsugi design is made. We don’t want to cover the beautiful Kintsugi design made by you. (Suggestion: A simple quote label will be nice.) Be creative!

Postcard size 6 by 4 inch. Send it naked or in clear plastic. Don’t forget to write your name, swap bot name and swap themed.
