DIA 2: Dream Ripple Response

The moon’s a little crooked tonight, but your briefing is here.

Prior to this cycle, you submitted a Dream Anomaly Case File to central intake. It has since been rerouted, reviewed, and reassigned to another agent (your partner). And now? You’ve just received a file of your own.

Your new mission is to respond.

Swap Description

The contents of the case file you’ve received may be unusual: a chart of backwards birds, a field report scrawled on a diner napkin, a sketch of an egg crying in an elevator. We don’t question the form. We respond to the ripple.

What matters now is how this anomaly affects your dreamscape. As an agent on loan to the Dream Surveillance Division, it is your responsibility to engage with this dream signature and send back your own creative interpretation.

Swap Requirements

💤 Your Mission:

Create a Dream Ripple Response that creatively reflects, interprets, or interacts with an anomaly reported. If you signed up for swap 1 in this series you can use the file you received to respond to, if you just want to participate in this swap, no problem, use any of the “prompt ideas” from DIA 1 or imagine you received a file and respond accordingly.

✅ One-page Dream Echo Response

This can be: - A visual response (drawing, collage, diagram, altered photo, ATC’s x 3 etc.)

• A short dream narrative or “echo log”

• A field note or incident report from a related dream

• A reinterpretation of the original anomaly (remember that you will likely have a different partner than swap 1, the good part about dreams is, they are always weird)

• Or something hybrid and surreal—whatever fits the flavor of what you are responding to

✅ One dream postcard or correspondence note

• Write a short note from your agent to theirs—this can be formal, silly, dead serious, or delightfully unhinged. Think: “Your report regarding the recursive bathroom doors is noted. Attached is a sketch of what happened next.” or “I’m fairly certain your anomaly followed me home. I have enclosed its shadow.”

✅ One small dream charm or token Include a symbolic object, tag, sticker, sigil, scrap of paper, or tiny craft related to your dream echo. Not everything in the Dream Division has to be explainable. Some of it just… shows up.
