Description:

For this swap you will create 1 ATC for 1 partner.

The ATC must be scented and the scent should relate to your image. The scent does not have to be one your partner loves. It just has to relate to the image.

Be careful to check your partners profile to see what scents they like or have problems with. Some people have strong emotional and physical reactions to some scents. Also, please, either list below or on your profile scents you like or strongly dislike.

This swap is open to anyone with filled out profiles including NEWBIES . All others please have a 4.9 or higher. If you feel you have gotten an unfair rating in the past 6 months, please, privately email me. I will be checking profiles.

As for hearts and Goodies-I like to send goodies with my swaps that relate to the swap or my partner but they are not a requirement of this swap to make a heart. I personally give hearts for outstanding work, cool goodies and cleverness/creativity but understand that some people just don’t do hearts. Hearts are up to your partner.

What is an ATC?

ATC - Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized “swap” events or through the mail, in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5″ x 3.5″. As a general rule, swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. Please, make an ATC that you would be proud to add to your own collection.

kool-aid works great, right from the package, I guess you would have to apply like glitter, then it would be like scratch and sniff.

I have used scented gels by crayola and essential oils. the cool aid sounds interesting. Some of my images that I have collected over the years are stored in a cigar box and they have taken on that scent. I also thought maybe someone may do a love letter ATC or one based of their favorite perfume. So many possibility s :)

Be careful with esscential oils if they leak through the envelope many POs will pull them because they contaminate other mail and the oil can be solvent to the address inks from printers etc---alcohol based and dry fragrances are the best choices=powdered incense can work well-talc and some high perfume soaps when grated can impart strong lasting scents

Thank you for the info- I usually put my paper in a bag of rice treated with the essentials for a week then work with the paper. I always put my atcs in plastic sleeves so I have not known them to have a problem with going through the mail.
