Description:

A hundred years ago everything was tied with string! This tied package will never be opened. What is on the tag that you create sends wishes to your partner for good things. Inside the package can be your junk mail or just an empty box. The wrapping must be the gift, too. So make it your own. In other words decorate plain paper, wrap your package--no taping allowed- tie the string and add your personal touch with the tag. Everyone needs hugs. Start now! One partner.

So tied up with a string and then wrapped so the post office will accept it, right?

Do you mean like this? Or this? Cute!

Are any of these close to what we should be making for this swap? Do you have a site/pic that would help us understand what we should be aiming for?

No. The post office won't accept tied packages. Something about their machines getting gummed up. The "package" should fit in an envelope. Manilla size envelope. Like 5x7 or larger. Check out Pavla examples! That's the idea. So the tag will say something nice to make your partner feel special.
