Good morning my fellow thrift store swappers..

I have created this swap for those of us that like to buy little things that make us smile when we go to the Thrift Store.. Can be that Vintage Garfield Stuffed Animal or that Can't live without the Smurf Figurine,so you pick them up,for whatever reason it may be,and take it home with you..

For this swap, you will have 1 partner.

Go to a Thrift Store,Yard Sale or Vintage Shop and look around for something that makes you smile.. Can be as small as a Whacky Postcard,or as large as a small stuffed animal ..

Pick it up for your partner..

Send it with a note of WHY it caught your attention and why you had to buy it!!

Make sure the item you buy is not dirty,smelly or torn..

If an eye is missing from a stuffie,and that is adding to the thrill of the buy,go for it,but no other rips,holes or tears..

I am not setting a price limit,as some may not spend but $.50 on a stuffed animal.. where others may spend as much as $2..

This is USA only.

No Recent 1's or 3's. (should be safe here since I JUST went through he Group and only removed 2 members due to recent 1's or 3's)

Okay- I have a question...random, nothing to do with this swap. Is there a thrift store anonymous 12 step program???lol I am addicted! I spend up to 4 hours in one at a time...please tell me I'm not alone!

hey madhatter76-LET'S GO SHOPPING! i only have a few friends who can tolerate my thrifting obsession, and none have the stamina i have, cause i look at just about everything in the store! (which is how i find so much good stuff!) Of course it IS kinda nice to go alone & have no "competition" or time restraints! There are far too many thrift stores here in the Seattle area where i live, AND i am taking a trip "home" to St. Louis next week where there are just as many great junk stores too! I always have to ship a few boxes of newly aqquired junk home whenever i travel! HAPPY THRIFTING!

ha ha.. I LOVE to go into our ONLY JUNK Vintage store here in Winona.. I am soooo hoping they do not close down.. They have been threatening to for a few months..

I love looking at old stuff. My hubby will NOT go in with me.. Junk Store is what he calls it..

My mom can sniff out a thrift store for miles.. I call her the Thrift Hound..lol

LOL! No one can thrift as long as me either! I tire them out! I do see this hard core thrifter, though, whenever I go to a certain Goodwill...she wears yellow dishwashing gloves! I suppose to rifle thru all the junk with. I am so hardcore though, I go bare handed!!! And dare to eat a bag of chips in the car afterwards!!! I know- livin' on the edge!
