Description:

I felt in love for these altered matchboxes... They can have so many colors, so many themes! And winter is coming, so let's think about one thing we'll miss: Fruits!

Make your partner winter look like summer in a tropical island!

So, here's the deal: you'll send a 32ct matchbox, homemade or storebought, but full of nice and cute fruit stuff for your partner.

You can fill your matchbox with stickers, buttons, origami, deco tape, etc... but it MUST be all about fruits! (Please no real fruits; some countries doesn't alow its entrance)

Here we have Rachel's Template for you to help homemade boxes.

This is an international swap, so be prepared to send your matchbox to far, far places.

Newbies are welcome, flakers are not. Rating above 4.8000 are welcome. I'll angel if someone didn't get his/her matchbox.

Do you have to spend $10? I like to make a lot of things myself and I have no idea how I'd spend $10 to fill a matchbox anyway...that's a lot of tiny things, LOL!

Hi Alexalgebra!

You can spend less, if you want to. Considering post values too, I believe 1O dollars is a good limit. Here in Brazil it would cost 16 reais; almost 10 of them for packing to United States, for example.

But feel free to sugest another value, if you believe it's expensive.

Thank you!

Yeah $10 for a 32ct matchbox is a little much. You don't need to put a value on them, I've received some really awesome ones

Hi weeatcrayons!

Might look expensive in dollars, but not in the South America, Africa, Asia; and this is an International Swap, not US regional. And again, it's10 dollars incluiding postage. You can be sorted with someone on nearby State, you can be sorted with someone on Russia.

So I put this value for everyone be safe, and nobody get sad with a "oh my, I spent 12 dollars on my matchbox to send it to Afghanistan and received one that can barely cost above $3". I want to nobody be sad and frown T_T.

I'll low down to 7, will you think it would be better?

Thank you for your opinion!

matchbox swaps generally don't have a dollar amount assigned to them at all, for future reference.

:D

I understand about the difference in postage rates but if I have a partner in the US it certainly will cost me less than a partner in Europe because of the postage so I'm not sure I really follow the dollar thing and postage shouldn't be a factor at all because $7.00 there wouldn't be any money left to spend to fill the matchbox!

I just sent a cd box stacked w/goodies to Germany and it only cost me 4.80....Not sure I would know what to fill the MB with? And how is my partner gonna know when the box is so little itself, the dollar amount i put into it?

LygiaKarla 10/28/2010 #

Ok girls, I'll remove this $$ limit, who's being so discussed...

Will more of you girls join?

I wanna thank all the opinions post!

Hi JChromosome!

You can fill your MB with little fruits cut from giftpaper, or draw a mini-card with fruits, or put some termocolant fruits (that type that goes on clothes, ironing it), or some little origami stars with fruit themes ^^ If you type fruit matchbox on Google Images, lots of nice images appears. Good Luck!
