3 packages ... To Our Mothers

What a nice idea!

My mother is a 65 yr old greatgrandma who loves houseplants. She collects elephants (anything),loves lotions,etc, dangly or hoop earrings. Even cozy gloves or a scarf would be something she would like. Money is very tight for her, so she doesn't always buy things she needs.

my mom lives with my grandma and grandpa, to help take care of my grandpa. stationery would be appreciated. her fiance is away, and she writes him all the time. she crochets with crochet thread and sometimes yarn. she loves dragons and wizards! she loves fantasy novels (wizard, harry potter, mythical, magic, etc.) although she reads many other type of books too. she loves those fuzzy posterboard pictures you color yourself. puzzle books, computer games (logic/puzzle), she is a smoker. lotions and bath goodies are great for her. hair clips, make-up. things to pamper her a little would be nice. her fav. color is purple. she likes coffee. cell phone charms, she is easy to please and would love any package im sure.

My aunt has four sons and I am her daughter. In all honesty, she is the closest thing to a mother I have and I KNOW she would love to receive a package in the mail with goodies and love just for her.

She opened a foodbank in her garage in the Portland, OR area and has recently been able to move this out of her home and into a proper warehouse space! She started feeding people in need when her sons were in cub scouts and this was so important to her that she now has hundreds of families visiting her each week.

All the while, she fights fibromyalgia and a slew of other physical limitations and ailments. We lost my grandmother this year - a devastating blow as they were not just mother and daughter but also very close friends.

She loves Disney and Coca Cola collectibles. Since the birth of her first grandchildren, she has taken up scrapbooking and would LOVE some excellent stickers. She also knits afghans with her fingers! (Not kidding - we both enjoy the stares she gets!) Some fabulous yarn would definitely be appreciated! OH! She just changed up her dining room to look like a 50's diner with Coca Cola themed decor - any addition would be fabulous! Also, any kind of restaurant or spa or show gift certificate for the Portland area would be fabulous - the woman spends so much time giving, she definitely doesn't give time to herself! (You can only yell at nice people for so long) ;) Also, now that the holidays are coming up, she can always use some nice tins to put her cookies in. (PS...she is Jewish, but Christmas and secular themed tins are still appreciated! Just don't send her overly religious items unless they are Jewish in nature! Thank you!)

I'll be sure to send her address to the lucky person that sends to her because odds on favor say, if you include a nice note and a return address - look out for a care package from her! :)

Hello does that mean we (or our Moms) will also get three pkgs with 3 things each- so 9 things? I'm confused:) Also is there a dollar limit? Thanks

Wow, what a great idea for a swap! My mother is 74 years old. She loves anything with kitties on it. She is picky about her coffee, in that she really only likes Folgers Decaf (no Starbucks "fancy" coffee for her teehee) and I know even having something like that sent to her would make her smile. She also likes Caffe D'Amore Chai Serenity Green Tea (This can be hard to find so don't worry if you have never heard of it) She is very active in her church, so any Christian religious items (ie: books, bookmarkers, crosses, etc) would be perfect. She also loves card games so something like a Pinochle (sp?) card set would be fun for her. Slippers or cozy socks would be a good option also. She has COPD so nothing scented please. starcards - hello, no the packages arent for us, they will be sent to the mothers we nominate here in the comments. (or grandmothers if you are in that swap). My family sees all the lovely packages i receive and with all the holiday swaps listed i thought this would be a nice way to let them receive their own special packages.

Hello I would love to be in this swap- but I am (gasp) Canadian! Can I join? would anyone mind? I tried to start a Canadian only version of this (because 3 partners is alot) but no one joined in over a week, so I deleted it! If I can join this one I would be grateful, its such a great idea and I would do my best for my partners.

I love the Idea of sending to our partners MOTHER or GRANDMOTHER rather then our partner. I LOVE opening a package from a swapper and always being suprised by what is inside, so I know our mothers will enjoy getting a gift that they do not expect. My mother's name is MAXINE and she loves the maxine caricture. My Mother collects OWLs, her house is decorated in south west and she crochets hats scraves and baby blankets backed with flannel, she is sensitive to strong smells so nothing to purfumey. she drinks both tea and coffee, has a cat even though it she has trouble breathing and loves period piece romance novels... did I mention she likes to play penny slots and bingo? if my partners will contact me I will give her address

OH! And, she loves chocolate! A nice mint Ghiradelli square goes a long way! ;) (I think that's a universal truth, though...) :D

This is such a great swap. I still live with my momma, so she's jealous all the time of all the mail I get.

So, let's see. Her favorite color is probably blue. She loves animals of all kinds, we have a menagerie of pets(2 dogs, 5 cats, a turtle, a bunny, etc etc <3). She is an xray tech and a professional petsitter. She loves photography(has an associate's degree in it, but mostly just does it for pleasure now). She loves Native American and southwest decor, and some Americana stuff. Definitely Christian stuff. She drinks coffee. Her favorite candy is Almond Joys, and loves coconut candies.

Is that enough stuff? Hehe, if you need anymore information I will try and think of it.
