Bear with me, I have an idea but am not sure how to put it down. Most of us have scanners and whizzbang printers now, so do you have some old family photos, black and white, sepia, which would look good as notecards? Or maybe you have a new image which looks old. I am not talking the super glossy/ super sophisticated, so professional, it looks like you need three degrees and a chimpanzee to publish it. Just scan your photo, I have a neat one of big brother in his sunhat in 1949, he is now 65 and would kill me if he knew I intend to send his image around the world, but he has to catch me first and he is getting slow in his old age. Print your image on to a nice, but non glossy thin card stock, maybe textured, (maybe not, maybe white, maybe pale coloured) suitable for a notecard. If your photo is coloured print it as black and white or sepia. Don't embellish your image with stickers, feathers, tags or whatever, just let it stand alone, or give it a simple title. And please don't break copyright rules, if it is not your photo don't print it. And for those receiving these cards please don't reproduce them as they will be someone else's intellectual property. Can you make at least three notcards, either of one image (or different if you have them), and put them in an envelope to one partner? (Supply matching envelopes for the notecards if you wish, not compulsory.) Please include a note saying where/when the image was taken and who it is, if you know - not lots of detail |
