Great way for theives to see what people have in their homes...law enforcement would definitely have something to say agai nst this kind of swap.

I don't think that is too big a problem. People post pictures of their homes online all the time. You could focus on interesting vignettes instead of the expensive computers/TVs etc that you may own. A friend just redecorated my house, so I may be doing this one!

@turtlelady45 perhaps a PO Box would be a good idea if you are concerned... & P.S. My family is law enforcement. wink You just have to "play it smart". Thanks for your thoughts.

How ridiculous! No one from swap bot is going to drive all the way to Texas to steal my stuff. And the photos are going to our randomly assigned partners, it's not like 1 person will have access to all of the photos of everyone's places.

This sounds great and will motivate me to get stuff more clean and organized!!! I do love my apartment :)

@turtlelady45 if you don't like the sound of a swap, don't join it, and leave it at that, let the rest of us 'thieves' enjoy it. i would love to join this dalbright, maybe an email version sometime? i know i would never get my pictures to the printers on time ;)

I do agree with charophyta about driving to Texas or CT where I live. Besides, I can't imagine anyone taking any of my old stuff. that said I am watching for now to see if I can come up with the 8 photos in time for the swap. I have a lot of cleaning to do, and don't even have 8 rooms to take photos of. I watch House Hunters all the time to get ideas, I love seeing other peoples houses. Great idea for a swap.

I love this idea but don't think I could get my pictures printed in time. E-mail verison would be great!

LoL @turtlelady45 thank you for your concerns. You are not being forced to join this swap. I would simply encourage you to find one that suites your taste and discretion better! It’s the land of the FREE. We are not here to argue we're here to swap and have fun. I hope everyone will do just that.

Yeah I don't have 8 rooms either but I can definitely take 8 pictures... cool pieces of decor and furniture and stuff that I like :)

Oh and if you bring your flash drive to walmart they can print the photos for you instantly... doesn't take much longer than sending an email!

My house is a cool Historical home, 3200 square feet, but not exactly professionally decorated. Would anyone still be interested in seeing this Historical masterpiece?

charophyta 08/14/2011 #

Oh man worldtraveler, your historical home sounds way more exciting than my place! (Mine is just a little 1 bedroom apartment that I rent, furnished with a lot of used/thrifted items!) Historical masterpiece... Wow! You better join.
