As far as what to include in your artwork I don’t care. It’s YOUR ARTWORK! Don’t put borders on it for me. I don’t care if it’s religious or has nudity or whatever. It’s art. I will love whatever as long as I can tell you loved it too. I want to see real art. Not something that had a whole bunch of borders on it just to make me happy. Feel free to art when swapping with me. I will always rate positively as long as you follow swap rules.
Hi! My name is Cleo! I’m a Graphic Arts and imaging technology student that Just got off medical leave due to a freak stroke that caused a lifelong disorder to take my body over. Because of this newfound disability I can’t do much and I’ve been looking for new/old hobbies to get back into. I began my ATC “career” back in third grade when I learned about them in art class and fell in LOVE with them! But 8 years old is a little too young to go online and trade with strangers. Now that imma “big girl” (I’m actually 6ft so I really am) I’m excited to let this passion flourish! I have a chocolate lab service dog named CHARLESTON (CHARLESTON is a female) she primarily does mobility and medical alert but is trained in much more. I also have a basset hound named Bullet who I love dearly. He only knows one command, sit. He’s definitely not a service dog but I love him. I was homeschooled for 80% of my education and I wouldn’t have it any other way. That tends to surprise people though by my taste in fashion. I LOVE color and have been dying my hair all sorts of fun colors since I was eight years old. Currently it’s chopped short with blood red ends. My hair has been every color of the rainbow at this point, even green! Actually green was probably one of my favorites. I tend to be a baby bat with the rest of my fashion choices like my knee high platform combat boots, safety pinned jackets, etc. but I also have a “unicorn side” I will wear a tutu with unicorn leggings on the regular. My makeup constists of extreme colors and wings. Sometimes I’ll turn my eyebrows pink because why not! Because of all this some people think I’m a punk. I’ll gladly accept that title as someone who refuses social norms but I’m no delinquent. I’m a 4.0 student who graduated high school at age 16 who goes to church and is a functioning member of society. Only time I’ve ever gotten police interference was with a fender bender in a mall parking lot at Christmas for a ticket! Anyways, all that said, I’m the goodie two shoes kid. I got upset if the teacher punished the entire class because of one student. Yup. I’m that kid.
My favorite music consists of little of everything. I love 90s country (Reba will always be my favorite) but I’m also a head banging metal head. My favorite band is Ghost town because of the inclusion of an artist as an official band member. And Of mice and men follows closely as a second. Also as an important note, if you play gospel music near me I WILL start singing, clapping and praising because I just can’t get enough of it!
I LOVE to read, unfortunately I can’t read anymore because of my disorder it’ll give me migraines so I have to be careful. My favorite books are (in no particular order) Harry Potter and the prizinor of Azkaban, Twilight , Eclipse , To kill a mockingbird , Miss peregrines home for peculiar children , The Sookie stackhouse books, Where the red fern grows , Island of the blue dolphins, Sanctum. Currently audio booking pet seminary.
So I like to catogragize movies so here’s my favorite for each group. Favorite - Shawshank redemption Book adaptation - Eclipse Disney - lilo and stitch Horror- silence of the lambs
My all time favorite tv show is scrubs. I have watched it 4 times all the way through! The office is also a great for me. Currently I watch Voltron and American Horror Story. My favorite season of AHS is murder house! Cult was pretty awesome though. Any Outlander fans? SING ME A SONG OF A LAS THAT IS GONNNEEEE!!!! Jamie Fraser is the most perfect man to ever exist!! I do plan on audio booking the series since I can't really read anymore.
I also don't like it when artists have a "better than you" or "you can't sit with us" attitude. we are all on our own journey in our art, lets not scare anyone away. I hate snakes. HATE THEMMMM. Otherwise I’m good.
I was practically born with a glue gun attached to my arm. crafting was always my favorite and I still love it to this day. I sew and like to make my own clothing as I hate spending a lot on stuff I know I can make better. I also cosplay. because of my love for all things goth I've cosplayed judge Claude Frollo from Disney's Hunchback. King from the seven deadly sins, Mabel from gravity falls, scarlet witch, and I'm currently working on spider splicer and katana cosplay. Because of my cosplay hobby I do a lot of SFX makeup. It would be weird to cosplay Frollo, a creepy old man with a young female face. So I can do everything from gender swap age ups to gore filled wip wounds. I learned how to do SFX through my church believe it or not! Every year we had a Easter play including a crucifixion scene and I was in charge of all the practical effects. The stab wound, the nails, lash wounds. as well as some minor stuff like or actor was bald and had tattoos so I had to do more "regular" makeup as well.
for more "traditional" mediums I began my career in graphite around eighth grade and boy was it bad.But lots of practice and I have won lots of awards and actually have art all over the world. I began painting once my drawing got a little better around sophomore year of high school. My favorite medium is acrylic but I got good and into watercolor shortly after. Also not "traditional" but I love blacklight painting. I won first place for a painting of Jesus I did and in the blacklight a crown of thorns appears. You can do so much with blacklight paint and its cheap. I highly recommend for some fun and creativity! Because of my recent stroke I can't always "art" because I have a horrible tremor that sometimes prevents me from simply holding a brush. But then its at bay I paint and sell my art at fairs and events for "fun money" or to help my parents out depending on the time and situation. Guess it helps to mention I still live with them but don't worry y'all, I'm only freshly 18. Its still socially acceptable XD!
