I am in my late 40's in the USA with three adult children and a grandchild, Penelope 5/20/2014. I enjoy crafting, sewing, travel, reading, watching documentaries. I also like to hike and spend time outdoors. I prefer shorter letters and not to discuss politics. I am new to the pen pal world, as I only have 4 pen pals currently - in addition to my family and friends that I exchange letters with.
We have a cat named Sacajawea. She is orange and white. She has grown to be very affectionate. We also have a Pit/Lab mix dog named Cow. Cow is about 5 years old.
I just started swapping at the end of 2018. Other than exchanging with my scrapbook/sewing friends, I did not realize that there were swap groups.
I do enjoy writing and receiving letters. I do not have a lot of pen pals and am okay with that as I have a lot of family members that I write. Am open to having more pen pals if we have a lot in common.
Traveling to Scotland is on my bucket list, along with spending a month or two traveling around Newfoundland/Labrador. I also am trying to go to the 60 US National Parks.
I would be interested in some sewing/quilting swaps.

I will attach this information to the back of the page in my baper, colored paper, etc - and then I will attach it in my book when I receive it.

When I started here and had read several profiles, I wondered why people wrote some of the things they did. After dealing with more than one unhappy partner, I find myself writing the same sort of things.
My understanding of "Hearts" is that they are given for something special. It is very easy to get a heart from me. You do not have to send extras. All you have to do is write a bit of a message on / with the swap. Tell me a little something about yourself, your family, where you live, what you love, what you hate...
If you do the absolute minimum to satisfy the swap, you will get a five from me but not a heart. I expect nothing more for myself. I can't afford to send a lot of extras to people but I do try to write a note with each swap, which I hope people will find interesting.
