Currently living in Japan, but you can usually find me traveling all over SE Asia. I'm in the process of planning my family's Christmas vacation to South Korea and hopefully Malaysia and Indonesia if not Laos and Vietnam. So if you have any recommended "must see" areas, we'd love to hear about them.
I enjoy all types of music but country is my absolute favorite. Songs/lyrics that touch my soul are what I look forward to, not repetitive brain-washing rhetoric.
Honestly anything. Whether its fiction or non, as long as it can hold my attention, I'll read it. Granted it may take me awhile to finish it (i.e. pick the book up, set it down, go back 3 months later, repeat cycle), I'll eventually complete it. I have an entire library of books waiting to be read which is one of my personal goals.
I normally head straight for the comedy and drama sections. Movies are my escape from reality. If the movie can make me cry, all the better.
I don't speak Japanese, so currently TV watching in Japan is not a top priority. Although I have been caught watching sumo wrestling every once in a blue moon even though I have NO idea what the announcers are saying. What little TV series I get exposure to are normally the DVD seasonal box sets that are either rented from the local movie store or purchased because the write up looks entertaining.
I'll try my hand at anything especially if allows me to be creative. Due to my operational schedule, I'm currently looking forward to the postcard swaps and e-swaps. Later my OPTEMPO may be more conducive for proper art/craft swaps.
